IBM Introduces New Chip Cooling Technology
At the end of last week, at the BroadGroup Power and Cooling Summit, IBM presented a new approach to solving the problem of cooling computer chips.
The technology is called “high thermal conductivity interface technology”, which can be roughly translated as “high thermal conductivity interface technology”. It is said to significantly improve heat dissipation compared to methods used today.

The structure of the channels is designed in such a way that if pressure is applied, the paste is distributed much more evenly, and the pressure on all parts of the chip will be the same. As a result, good thermal contact is achieved at half the pressure of conventional systems, and heat transfer is increased tenfold.
